Spotted when a home's energy certificate shows at least 15 m² (and 15%) more floor area than an earlier one. Only homes with two certificates show up, so the real number is higher. A busy street suggests extensions get permission here; check the council's planning register for the details.

The Grand Union Canal TransferTransfer of Water Resources · The project is linear in nature and extends to approximately 160km. From north to south, the project starts at the Minworth Wastewater Recycling Centre north-east of Birmingham. Thereafter water will be transferred eastwards to the Coventry Canal at Atherstone. From the Coventry Canal, the site of the project extends in a south-easterly direction connecting to the Oxford Canal followed by the Grand Union Canal. Water will then be abstracted and treated south of Milton Keynes before being transferred to an existing water supply reservoir near Luton.
Planning Inspectorate list of nationally significant infrastructure projects (roads, railways, energy, water, waste), October 2026 (OGL). Each is placed at one point, usually the middle of the site; long schemes run well beyond it.
